Nova Baiae: The slave-pens of Volpiscus.
This is the latest batch of new slaves recently brought over from the mainland who are scheduled for this week's auction.
Naturally, before taking their places on the auction-block, potential buyers are given the chance to 'inspect' their suitability. Mostly, these inspections take place in situ and the slaves are made to press their bodies hard up against the front of their pen with their exposed cocks and balls protruding through the bars.
Once in position, the slaves' bodies are readily available for examination and all a buyer has to do is reach between the widely spaced bars to gauge a slave's worth with his hands.
It's worth noting not all buyers are genuine; among their number are the lechers and voyeurs who are there simply to satisfy their own lust.
Reaching between the bars, eager hands are free to roam at will over naked, male slave-flesh.
The new slaves are subjected to the humiliation and shame of being treated as the livestock they have become. Biceps are squeezed to ascertain their hardness, nipples are cruelly twisted as a test of a slave's pain threshold, the depth of a slave's belly button probed to test for any weakness, mouths forced open to check the health of both teeth and gums, balls hefted and weighed in cupped hands and unwilling cocks teased into unwanted erections.
Then, finally, the ultimate degradation of all; the order is given to turn their backs to the bars and to 'bend and spread' thus exposing their arses to public scrutiny. Now, hungry fingers caress the tender, puckering flesh of exposed sphincters as foreplay to the slaves being finger-fucked.
The wily Volpiscus knows his clientele and before placing his slaves on display, he has their arseholes liberally greased with goose fat. This isn't done out of consideration for the slaves; rather it is done to avoid 'damaging the goods'.
The slaves are powerless to prevent any of this from happening and they are well aware of Volpiscus' overseers hovering in the background with their vicious canes and cruel whips ever ready to beat a slave into submission.
If you look to the right of the picture, you can see a terrified young slave named Telemachus cowering in a corner. Soon, he will feel the pain of the lash as he is ordered to his feet and to take his place against the bars. There are buyers very eager to inspect him.
Chris, thank you very, very much for this fabulous “anticipation” of the several (I do hope) scenes of slaves’ bodies’ inspections and auctions that we have partly already read and that we will have again the enrapturing pleasure to read even in more thorough details in other future chapters of your outstandingly beautiful NOVA BAIAE.

I am also curious to know where you found the attached artwork (that I did not know before) because, among these caged brawny male slaves, ready for their humiliating and shameful body inspection by eager and lewd prospective buyers, I can see again also a very gorgeous “model” that I well remember in the past caught my attention (and not only the attention !) at the times of the discontinued Chained Muscle site.
While you draw our attention on the “terrified young slave named Telemachus cowering in a corner” at the extreme right of the corner …….. the model I refer to is the sexy and masculine herculean young slave that we can see, in the slave-cage, at the extreme left of this image (even if unfortunately his splendid muscular body is here only very partially visible).
In the reality he is a very attractive American Junior champion of Bodybuilding who has been quite famous some years ago for having won, between 19 and 22, various Bodybuilding contests among Junior athletes.
I well remember that, when the Chained Muscle site was still alive and flourishing, his attractive macho face and his gorgeous herculean body were used by more than one artist in that site for various exciting Artworks in which he was a slave ( like in this case) or a tortured prisoner etc.etc.
Unfortunately with the disappearance of the original Chained Muscle site, all that very precious and fabulous BDSM material has disappeared …… I fear for ever !

Karel,once again thank you for your comments. Re your request to read more about the examination of the slaves in my story, 'Nova Baiae'. That will happen as the story progresses - although i have to be careful not to be too repetitious.
DeleteRe the origin of the artwork i used for this post. It is a 'grab' from a larger work - i edited it to make it more manageable - and it is unnamed. However, looking at it suggests it is one of Amalaric's works. Looking at the 'models' in the picture, i recognise some as appearing in other of Amalaric's art.
You are also correct in pointing out that the American bodybuilder was used at 'Chained Muscle' although i don't think he is among my small collection of CM art.
And as you say, with the demise of 'Chained Muscle' we lost so BDSM material, perhaps for ever.
But who knows, i am sure there are some Masters and slaves who saved CM art and have it stored on their computers. For example, i have found a small, long forgotted folder of Gary's art on my previous computer. Among them as such gems as 'Redneck Justice' and his 'Alien' series were aliens have enslaved humans. Do you remember them?
The art accompanying the 'alien' story is superb with muscular, naked, human slaves, their torsos gleaming with sweat highlighted against a dark background.

DeleteAbout the "examination of slaves" in the pens, I understand what you mean by saying that you need to be careful not too be "too repetitious" in describing multiple too much similar scenes.
You are right; but allow me to observe that, without being too repetitious with too much similar scenes, thorough and very brutal and humiliating body examinations of slaves can enter in a slave-story not only as the "pre-sale" examinations by customers, before the actual public auction of the merchandise, that you described so far ...... but also as an essential and always present moment of the sale by auction itself.
Allow me to add that, at least for my personal tastes, I find that a thoroughly described scene of public slave-auction is a much more brutal, humiliating and inhuman situation for the auctioned slave (and therefore much more arousing) than a however cruel and obscene pre-examination in the pens …… with all its incredibly fierce and degrading ritual …….. the slave dragged by guards, often against his useless struggling, on the auction platform. Near the auctioneer ……. the slave’s first display to the audience of his buyers on the auction-block and the first excited reactions of the spectators …… the extremely humiliating public stripping of the few skimpy garments that (perhaps) still hardly cover some body parts of the slave ….. the endless cruel, unctuous and wilily litany of tempting and stirring words of the auctioneer, who’s extolling and praising, even beyond all reasonable limits, the “prodigious and exceptional qualities” of the auctioned, slave while the crafty dealer menacingly obliges the slave to flex and swell his magnificent muscles and to display, to the audience of more and more excited buyers, all the details of his glorious physique, while the auctioneer emphasizes even more the gorgeous appeal of this or that detail of the slave’s body by stroking, pressing, patting, pricking this or that particular of the slave’s physique with the tip of his cane with the handle of his whip that he’s threateningly holding ……. the feverish requests of the most excited bidding spectators who authoritatively demand to be allowed to inspect personally and with their own hands the body of the slave, in all its most minute and even obscene details, both by going themselves on the auction-platform or – more comfortably for them- that the slave is hauled by guards down, from the platform into the audience of buyers, and presented to all the noble bidding Lords who are interested in buying him, so that they can thoroughly and directly inspect and check every detail of his body …. etc.etc.
In my opinion, a slave’s auction, of which a multiple body examination by prospective buyers, was an indispensable part, was a scene that was never “repetitious” ……. even inside the same general sale by auction, every auction of the single slave was something different from the auction of the previous slave and also different from the auction of the following slave …. depending on the slave’s physical characteristics, on the endless and wily screed of the auctioneer in extolling the “qualities” and peculiarities of that particular slave, on the interests of the particular bidding spectators etc. ….. so that every slaev-auction was somehow different from all the other ones.
Therefore it’s my impression that, even by repeating (maybe in different Chapters and in different described sales) multiple scenes of sale by auction of different slave (with their connected indispensable body inspections), an Author risks much less of being “too repetitious” and of boring his readers by reiterating too much similar scenes and descriptions.
