Nova Baiae For the information those who are following this story, I have just posted the latest chapter to nifty.org It should appear at nifty.org under Gay male/Hisorical within the next day or so. Regards, Chris
Thank you, K for your comments. It's good to know i have at least one reader of my posts. Without any comments, it is very hard to know if the blog is working the way i intended it should. Sadly, i think it is reaching its "use-by-date" The statistics show the number of reader visits has fallen quite dramatically in recent weeks and i am wondering about its future.
I am very sorry in reading this, Toby. This blog is absolutely FABULOUS and I do hope that the decrease in visits you have observed in the latest days is just a temporary phenomenon (people are very busy in this period ...... and they start to think of the next holidays and prepare them). I would like to warmly invite all the readers and admirers who like this Blog and the exceptionally beautiful stories by Jean-Christophe ....... starting of course from the OUTSTANDING NOVA BAIAE ! ....... to make themselves known and heard in support of this Blog and of the great Chris. Gentlemen, to show publicly your presence, admiration and support to the great Chris, it's sufficient that you post JUST ONE line / short phrase. Thank you. Your admirers are many and many and always support you.
Thank you enak for your comments. I appreciate them very much. And thank you for your continuing support. I take your point about using bdsmlr or deviantart. Both groups are excellent and I thank you for suggesting them. The problem for me is finding the time to set up these blogs and to post to them.
Hello Chris, Having a blog could be indeed time consuming but you dont need to post so much. I would recommand you to start with Deviantart. It is easy to register and it has some nice functionnalities. You can comment on a chain of message and you know if someone answer you by consulting your page. Idem if someone liked a comment, favored a deviation (picture or text) and you can also send messages in primate. I have a blog there (Enak75) and you would fond lots of slavery type arts from the blog i follow. Unfortunatly it gas some rules about depiction of sexual act and some author need to post some more crude pictures to sites like bdsmlr. But for texts i think it would be ok and you could easily get intouch with a network of admirers ans followers. I have no interest in Deviant except the pleasure to meet you there more easily. enak@gmx.fr
Excellent observations about the magnificent story NOVA BAIAE, slave Enak. By the way, let me observe that - in real historical ancient Rome- it was absolutely normal that a Master, when buying a new slave, was giving to the new slave a fully new Roman name, the one he liked the best ...... exactly like today it happens with dogs. It would have been considered absolutely crazy and unacceptable that a Roman Master could use for a slave his previous, "barbaric" name. Practically all Masters fully ignored the "original" names of their slaves and they did not care of it ..... All of them would have NEVER "lowered" themselves to ask their slave which was his name.
Even most Roman gladiators, who not rarely bore "barbaric" names that indicated their native lands ...... actually did not bear their real previous names. Their new fancy "barbaric names" were actually invented by the "lanista" who had purchased them and that was choosing for the gladiator a new fantastic and apparently "barbaric" name that could better strike the fantasy of spectators.
Enak, thanks also for showing your support with your comment -as all of us should do- for this Blog and the great Chris.
Thank you for writing and posting more Nova Baiae. I was very sad when they shut down Yahoo groups. I'm glad to see you've decided to continue writing. I am looking forward to the next chapter in your story.
Thank you for making contact and your comments about Nova Baiae. I am pleased you are enjoying it and it is a pleasure for to add to it knowing others share in it with me.
Yes it is sad that tumble and yahoo have adopted their new policies regarding posts. My concern is that with these changes, many readers will just give up and stop searching for stories in our genre. I believe we still have something to offer but it is becoming harder to reach out to a wide readership.
I fully share the enthusiasm and gratitude of B. for your decision of continuing Nova Baiae and more in general of continuing to delight your admirers with your unparalleled Art. Thank you, Chris.
Marvelous ! one of your most superb masterpieces.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Chris, for this magnificent story

Hello Chris, i enjoyed your last release of Nava Baie. I particularly loved the réflexion of Rhodri on how the slave brand changed everything for him. I also appreciated the description of the assessment of each slave. Their being renamed is a powerfull testimony on how their lifes is now totally at the whim of their captors ans later of their owner. I think the new name for Rhodri shows well who you are identificating to...
ReplyDeleteAbout the readers i think Master K is right this is a season trend. Though the media may not be the most popular. Have you considered using bdsmlr or deviantart as i wrote to you ?
